VGT’s Rob $1.8B from Budget

July 17th, 2017

VGT’s will steal $1.8B from the Commonwealth’s budget.

That’s $1,800,000,000.00, plundered annually.

Big, VGT gambling operations want that money going into their pockets instead of being used for property tax relief and seniors, as it is used today.

By comparing the devastation VGT’s wrought in Illinois, we can see clearly what VGT’s will do to Pennsylvania.

In Illinois, VGT’s cannibalized the lottery by 12%, horseracing by 12% and casinos by 21%.

That destruction in Pennsylvania would mean:

Grand Cannibalization Tally: $1,800,000,000.00.

VGT’s only create a deeper budget hole.

VGT’s are not a gift, but a curse.

Pennsylvanians for Responsible Government (PRG) educates citizens on public policy issues impacting the scope and growth of government.  It is a Pennsylvania not-for-profit corporation operating under the 501c4 section of the Internal Revenue Code.

PRG’s campaign is supported by members of Pennsylvania’s brick-and-mortar casino industry which employ over 18,000 Pennsylvanians, invested billions of dollars in construction projects and provided billions of dollars in Pennsylvania property tax relief.
