PA Revenue Dept: VGT’s Only Net $47.8M

July 18th, 2017

VGT’s can only net the Commonwealth $47.8M.

That is according to Pennsylvania’s own Department of Revenue.

After 6 years of full VGT implementation, their study shows VGT’s will only net $47.8M.

You can read the whole report here.

This comes at the cost of cannibalizing hundreds of millions from the PA Lottery and Casino Industry.

Taking into account the true devastation wrought by the Illinois VGT’s implementation, the numbers are even worse.

VGT’s are bad public policy.  And, voters know it.

Over 2/3’s of Pennsylvania voters oppose legalizing VGT’s.

In fact, voters are 4 times more likely to vote against legislators who legalize VGT’s.

Exclusive summary memo and polling toplines are available.

VGT’s rob seniors of their lottery benefits and crush the 18,000 people Pennsylvania’s casinos put to work.

All for $47.8M?  You’ve got to be kidding.
Pennsylvanians for Responsible Government (PRG) educates citizens on public policy issues impacting the scope and growth of government.  It is a Pennsylvania not-for-profit corporation operating under the 501c4 section of the Internal Revenue Code.

PRG’s campaign is supported by members of Pennsylvania’s brick-and-mortar casino industry which employ over 18,000 Pennsylvanians, invested billions of dollars in construction projects and provided billions of dollars in Pennsylvania property tax relief.
